Crown Hill Cemetery didn't come to my attention until I'd already lived in Indianapolis for nearly 20 years. How I missed learning about this gem of a place all those years remains a mystery, but I'm sure glad that I have known about it for these last 15 years or so.

Not only is Crown Hill the nation's 3rd largest cemetery, but it's one of the most beautiful with its rolling hills, historic graves and crypts, and the wide variety of trees, including my favorite, the European Weeping Beech.

The photos in this gallery were taken over the last 10 to 15 years, many with my iPhone since about 2010. I never tire of shooting here and enjoy the cemetery in all seasons. Enjoy!
